In light of the on-going situation relating to COVID-19 and the third lockdown, it's important to remember that our focus remains on the well-being of our employees, clients, tenants and the wider community.
Our priority is to maintain the highest levels of health and hygiene safety at all times, especially around vulnerable individuals.
Business as Usual
Our offices will remain open throughout the third lockdown abiding by recent government guidelines. There will be a Rota system internally with our staff to avoid as much human contact in the office as possible and we are restricting access to our premises.
I must stress that business is running as usual and all staff are fit and healthy whether they are working in the office or from home.
I have also taken the decision to retain all members of staff throughout this crisis to uphold the level of service we provide you and to offer assurance that we are here to assist you through these difficult times.
The most important thing is to keep you, and your family safe.
From everyone here at Davidson Estates, we wish you a safe new year.
We are taking every precaution within the office and on appointments.
Our main concern has been conducting viewings, appraisals and inspections where there could be direct contact with other people.
Viewings
We have recently launched our new ‘Live Stream Viewing’ service which has proven very popular with landlords and prospective tenants.
Prospective tenants wishing to view the property can register for the live viewing and watch at the allotted time. They can ask questions during the viewing as it’s completely interactive. We then take applications and the successful candidate can then arrange an in-person viewing should they wish.
We have also taken videos where a Live Stream Viewing is not possible which we can send to all prospective tenants prior to and in-person viewing or instead of a viewing.
Our process for viewings is as follows:
1. Arrive early, prepare the property for viewings 2. The prospective tenants are guided where to go when booking the appointment 3. Appropriate face masks must be worn by all adults over the age of 16 4. Hand sanitiser is provided before, during and after the viewing 5. Home occupiers will have to vacate the property for the viewing duration 6. Both the negotiator and viewer/s must maintain social distance rules throughout the appointment 7. Stairs are to used where possible instead of lifts in developments
This process is particularly effective with vacant properties, and we have maintained business as usual by using this process.
Appraisals
For appraisals we are offering physical and zoom appointments, depending on whether the property is vacant or not. The appointment process has proved very effective since March 2020.
The physical appointments are to be with a maximum of two adults and should only last around 15 minutes during lockdown measures.
Periodic Inspections
We have suspended all physical property inspections until further notice, conducting ‘virtual inspections’ through a video call which is working very well with tenants as we continue our high standard of service and communication with the tenant community.
Contractors
All of our contractors are operating as normal.
General Information
All processes are subject to change following government and industry guidelines during the Covid-19 crisis.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this period.
